Blanca Edilma Lopez farms two hectares on a steep mountainside outside Buesaco, on land that belonged to her father — a Cup of Excellence finalist who helped put Nariño on the specialty map. She took the farm over after his passing in 2025. The cherries go twenty-four hours into sealed containers, then thirty-six more in open tanks after de-pulping, then eighteen days drying on covered beds. What comes out is tropical mango up front, carried by the crisp red-berry acidity these high-altitude Nariño coffees are known for. Dense and juicy, and it holds up either as filter or espresso.
