La Cabra
The Kiangoi washing station sits in northeastern Kirinyaga, in a corner of Kenya better known for tea. Coffee went in late enough here that the volcanic soils were never worn down by decades of sprays and fertiliser, and 99% of the farmers delivering to the station still grow SL28 and SL34 rather than the newer rust-resistant hybrids. La Cabra have been visiting the Rungeto cooperative for years and keep coming back to this station. A classic washed Kenyan: crisp redcurrant, floral hibiscus, clarity all the way through.
Tasting notes: Redcurrant, Hibiscus, Florals
