Ethiopia Alaka Natural

Grown by members of the Alaka Farmers Association between 1,900 and 2,200 metres in West Guji, and processed by METAD at their Hambela Alaka station — a partnership Intelligentsia have kept up since 2012. Ripe cherries are sorted by hand and dried on raised beds with the fruit fully intact, which is where the blackberry and plum come from. Tangerine acidity keeps it from ever sitting heavy. Certified organic.
